Wisdom from Wyoming: Objection from a former sailor

A recent letter to the Editor to the Northern Wyoming Daily News in Worland, Wyoming had this to say:

To the Editor:
I object and take exception to everyone saying that Obama and Congress are spending money like a drunken sailor.  As a former drunken sailor, I quit when I ran out of money.

That was before crdit cards. Once we got one the government got a bigger one. We have to pay ours or lose it. The government is now in that same position. A constitutional amendment to keep a balanced budget is the crux of the present argument. Unlike the drunken sailor, the government won’t stop spending unless forced to.

Bruce, You mean to tell me you don’t want you great grandchildren paying for your food stamps? I know my grand mother would have died before accepting gov’t assistance. and I would have to be dead to not provide for her. She di it not get SS because she refused to pay into it!!!
